Tara Riggi and Jason Sherwin were introduced to each other one night in April 2014 by their good friend Julie Rhoades. They had a nice chat that night and dug each other but didn't end up having their first date until about a year later...
Since then they've got a doggie (Bodhi), bought a house, and traveled all over the place together. Tara's become a successful Realtor in Long Beach and Jason is a Software Engineer for Zillow Group in Irvine.
Jason popped the question in March of 2018 at Haleakalā Volcano on the island of Maui, Hawaii. They rode a Harley up to the top of the crater and hiked a short way to the location in the photo below (snapped by an anonymous fellow tourist)... Tara wasn't keen on the freezing temperatures and almost wasn't convinced to keep hiking (Nor was she thrilled on her outfit choice after she learned of the proposal)! Despite the cold and looking like a smurf, Tara said yes!
